Emerging Technologies and the Arts Lab (et al.)

The Emerging Technology and Arts Lab (et al.) at the University of Toronto is an interdisciplinary hub exploring the intersection of technology, arts, and human cognition/behavior. Our projects examine the impact of multisensory perception in VR on conceptual learning; children's social interactions with robots; training AI language models to better comprehend linguistic diversity; and prototyping VR experiences for public sculpture and spatial storytelling. Research at the et al. lab centers around themes of embodiment, cognition, human-computer interaction, education, aesthetics, and inclusive/equitable design.
